Preparing for Initial Consultation

Contact TrueSource Home Specialties to request a closet consultation. A discovery call will be scheduled to discuss the goals for the project.

Measure the existing space. Don't worry about the measurements being perfect as there will be an opportunity for us to confirm the dimensions later in the process. That being said, the more accurate information you provide will result in a more accurate preliminary quote. Download our closet measure guide.

Take pictures and a video of the existing space. Email items to TrueSource for use in the discovery call.

Prepare for the meeting by gathering inspiration pictures. In addition to the closet manufacturers websites, many customers have success using Houzz & Pinterest.

Initial Consultation / Discovery Call

Discuss project goals and layout possibilities.

Closets 101 – Learn the basics of closet construction and quality.

Discuss payment options including special financing programs.

Review budget tools specifically related to your project.

Discuss style options to make a preliminary closet selection.

Review DIY or contractor options for construction of project.

Preliminary Cabinet Quote

Price quote containing the closet style & color.

A list of features included in the quote including storage solutions, trim mouldings and other unique items.

CAD drawings available to review with customer.

Revisions / updates as needed per customer input.

On-Site Consultation

Discuss jobsite specifics and design possibilities.

Inspect jobsite and confirm all measurements.

Review preliminary CAD drawings produced from info gathered during initial consultation.

Updated Closet Quote

Closet quote will be updated based on jobsite consultation.

Review CAD drawings that have been updated to reflect accurate measurements and jobsite conditions.

Review Payment options including check, credit cards and financing.

Discuss next steps in process

Retainer to Move Forward

A 10% deposit is made on the closets (applied to final purchase price).

A commitment that enables a customer to fully access our skills and services for a project.

Design revisions completed as needed to refine layout options.

All CAD drawings and itemized price lists are released to the customer.

Updated quotes with detailed product information.

Meeting with contractor to review closet layout details.

Contract to Purchase Closets

Final proposal and design are converted to a contract.

50% deposit is made to officially order materials.

Estimated lead time information relayed to customer.

Documents prepared to review with the contractor.
